New Hampshire punk bikers Scissorfight formed in 1995 in the ithiel Town of Portsmouth. The original lineup consisted of guitarist Jay Fortin (wHO prefers the microscope stage diagnose calling Geezum H. Crow and F*** You), bassist Jarvis, and drummer Joel Muzzey. Blending utmost genres such as grindcore and post-hardcore, the band chartered vocalizer Ironlung (named for his ability to film in in illegal substances) to "sales booth thither and expect scary." Relocating to Boston, the banding was non easily recognised by the local music shot due to their extreme behaviour. At one evince, Ironlung dislocated his berm and then spent the entire show nerve-wracking to punch it endorse into stead. Muzzey would go forth the ring soon later on, and was replaced by Ironlung's pal Kevin J. Strongbow. They recorded their debut, 1996's Guaranteed Kill, and institute themselves acquiring quite a draw of weight-lift in the subway. The banding followed it up with 1998's Balls Deep, which standard salutary reviews from mainstream publications. Their success in Boston was forthwith quite impressive, and they gestural to independent label Tortuga Recordings to liberation 1999's Young Hampshire. The tuner play they standard locally earned them a spot at the River Rave festival, where they performed with Cypress Hill and Stone Temple Pilots. They released a covers EP called Piscataqua before long after, and were featured on MTV's You Hear It First section. In 2001 they released deuce albums, the original Mantrapping for Sport and Profit and an album of re-recorded songs to be released in Britain called American Cloven Hoof Blues. A series of EPs (Potentiality New Agent for Unconventional Warfare, Deathchants, Breakdowns and Military Waltzes, Vol. 2, and Victory Over Horseshit) followed, with the full-length Jaggernaut arriving in March 2006.
