The Ivy Le Caprice To Open For Business In Dubai


Two of London's most exclusive celebrity restaurants are to set up home in the new Hollywood of the Middle East - Dubai.

Owners of The Ivy and Le Caprice are planning to open new chains in the desert.

Naveed Dowlatshahi, the director of developer Tatweer, said an agreement had been reached with bosses at Caprice Holdings, the company behind the establishments.

Sheeraz Hasan, the founder of Dubai.TV, broke the news late on Monday (09Jun08), stating a sister nightclub, Annabelle's, could also be part of the deal.

The restaurants are likely to open in Dubailand, a tourism, leisure and entertainment resort developed by Tatweer.

Caprice Holdings bosses are also interested in opening a restaurant in nearby Abu Dhabi.

Gospel Stars Daughter Killed

Grammy-winning singer STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN is in shock after his five-year-old daughter was killed after she was struck by a car driven by her teenage brother.

The Christian rock star's daughter Maria Sue was hit in the driveway of the family's home in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday (21May08).

According to the family's spokeswoman, Laura MCPherson, the brother - who has not been named - did not see his sister. She said no charges are expected.

MCPherson adds, "It looks like a tragic accident."

Maria was one of three children Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth, adopted from China.
